A
Skin Care Secret Hidden in the Mountains of Chile Uncovered by Doctors!
|
In
the pollution free, lush rainy valleys of the Southern Andes Mountains of
Chile grows a wild rosebush known to natives as Rosa Mosqueta and to
scientists as Rosa Affinis Rubiginos. Its flowers are pink in
colour and, as the petals fall off, the plant develops a fleshy orange/red
seedpod.
When the seedpod is pressed, oil rich in essential fatty acids and
Vitamin C is released.
The unique properties of Rosehip Oil were first discovered by a team of
researchers from the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacology at the
University of Concepcion, a prestigious university in Chile. They
completed a study in 1983 in order to evaluate the positive action of the
oil in the skin regeneration process.
This two-year study focused on the cicatrizing action of Rosehip
Oil. During
this time, an oil preparation was applied to 180 patients with surgical,
traumatic and post-burn scars as well as to a group suffering from
premature aging. The
results were remarkable. It
was found that Rosehip Oil produced an effective regenerative action on
the skin. Continuous
application of Rosehip Oil effectively helped in attenuating scars and
wrinkles, in preventing advancement of premature aging, and in regaining
lost natural skin color and tone.
Local Entrepreneur Yoshiko Nakayama and business partner and Biologist
Robin Andrews are the owners of Vancouver’s Nuance Cosmetics.
Starting their life long dream just four years ago, they now have a
university-graduated research and development team of biologists and
cosmetic chemists and over 300 different products, which sell in
boutiques, health food stores and now their own retail outlets.
Nuance specializes in creating products that harness the beneficial
properties of nature. “We
are very strict about what we sell our customers,” says Robin.
“All of our ingredients must pass a rigorous series of clinical
tests before we put them into any of our products.
We can also say that none of our products contain any
preservatives, parabens, sulfates, artificial colors, synthetic scents or
animal products. We are the
only company in Vancouver offering our customers these alternatives.”
For the past 3 years the Nuance research team has been exploring the
applications of Rosehip Oil in various skincare products.
They have recently released a new product line built entirely
around the regenerative properties of Rosehip Oil known as Rosehip Repair.
What makes the series so effective is the unique, built-in
Microimmersion Technology. “Through
persistent research we finally discovered that with the aid of several
natural occurring, dermal permeating ingredients, the skin can actually
absorb Rosehip Oil more easily,” says Robin “and the effects of
Rosehip oil can be significantly enhanced.
This unique penetrating formula is known as our Microimmersion
Technology and is what separates the Rosehip Repair series from any other
cosmetic”.
Since the product series first hit the shelves in 2004, Nuance Cosmetics
has more than quadrupled their total monthly sales.
A once quiet boutique in Kits now draws customers from all over
Vancouver and surrounding regions. “We
were hoping to finally have some vacation time this year,” says Yoshiko.
“We are already behind on production and have run out of several
Rosehip Repair products a few times.
I guess vacation will have to wait for a while longer.”
Nuance Cosmetics is located in Vancouver, BC,
Canada. Rosehip Repair
products are also now available online at www.rosehiprepair.com or
toll-free at 1-866-687-4188.
